Upon reaching the top of Ngong Hills, you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of Nairobi’s skyline, the Nairobi National Park, the Great Rift Valley and Mount Suswa from afar.
The starting point for hiking at Ngong hills is Ngong Police Station while the ending point is Kona Mbaya. On average, most hikers take about 4-5 hours to complete the whole journey.
Point to Note: It is advisable to hike in groups to avoid getting lost or being attacked by stray wild animals. In case you are alone, you should the services of an armed guard. On average, the guard charges vary from KES 1,500 to KES 3,000.

The Ngong Hills are one of the few spots in Kenya where you can find wind mills and learn how win energy is produced.
During school days, Ngong hills is often crowded with school kids from Kajiado, Nairobi and other neighboring counties. They come here to learn about wind energy and how the mills produce it.
